Call for Entries – Masonry Institute Awards


The Excellence in Masonry 2014 Awards will be presented at the Design Awards Gala during the AIA Tennessee Annual Convention held in Nashville, Tennessee at the Nashville Music City Center from July 30-August 1, 2014. Download Nomination Form Now.

Award Categories:

Excellence

 To be held by the winning architect until the Excellence in Masonry 2015 Competition. The Excellence Award is a specially-commissioned, original sculpture by Sue Landerman, a freelance designer and sculptor. Plus the winner will receive a limited edition print award.

Honor

 To the architect, owner, and masonry contractor. The Honor Award will be a limited edition print of the winning design from the 2014 Young Architects Forum Graphic Design Competition.

Merit

 To the architect, owner, and masonry contractor. The Merit Award will be a limited edition print of the winning design from the 2014 Young Architects Forum Graphic Design Competition.

Eligibility:

  1. All projects must be located, constructed, and completed, between January 2010 and September 2013, in the state of Tennessee.
  2. More than one entry may be submitted by an architect or architectural firm.
  3. Masonry (brick, block, stone, tile, glass block) must be the predominant material used in the project.
  4. Entries must meet all rules of this competition in order to be considered for an award.

One entry form must be completed for each submission and mailed or delivered with the entry fee by 12 noon on June 12, 2014 (extended).
