Background on New State Contract
AIA Tennessee and ACEC of Tennessee hosted a series of meetings across the state (see information below) with State Architect Peter Heimbach in June 2016. He presented the new State Designer Agreement, which was approved by the State Building Commission at their May meeting. The January 2007 contract may be used on contracts executed prior to July 1, 2016. Download AIA TN / ACEC of Tennessee Joint Letter to the State Building Commission regarding the organizations’ position on the new contract. The organizations advocated for a complexity multiplier as well as an official list for additional services to be adopted as OSA policy. Currently, the attachment C and attachment D have not been adopted.
