Volunteer Opportunities/Special Considerations
Several work stipends are available. AIA TN is making convention scholarships to members that are unemployed, underemployed or need financial assistance to attend convention. This is a great program that allows members to attend and get involved in the convention as well as give the AIA TN staff much needed help!
Please click HERE and COMPLETE THIS FORM to submit an application for a work/volunteer scholarship.
Applicants will be expected to help out the AIA TN staff for a few hours during the convention. We will try to accommodate as many requests as possible. Last year, were able to bring 13 people to convention. We have a limited number of spots and they will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Once spots are full, we will not be able to offer any more scholarships. (Your statement of need will be kept confidential.)
Associate and Emeritus Rates
In addition, Associate and Emeritus members can register for the conference at a deeply discounted rate! Students can register for $25. This discounted rate does NOT include tickets to the Awards Celebration or Tours.
AIA TN Awards Celebration
Celebrate with architects and allied partners from across the state as we recognize newly licensed architects, announce the 2019 Design Awards and honor the 2019 Lifetime Award Recipients. This year the Awards will be held at the Mill & Mine in Knoxville. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks before the presentation. Due to the location this year, dinner will not be provided. Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. will be hosting the After Party at the Mill & Mine from 8 - 9:30 pm.
We encourage attendees to dine at one Knoxville's eclectic downtown restaurants after the Party. A continuous shuttle will run from the hotel to the Mill & Mine until 9:30 pm.
