Building Along the Carbon Transect – 1.5 LU|HSW
The presentation will ask architects and other building professionals to consider issues attending the many resources – physical, environmental, human, to name a few – that they call upon in their built work. In looking at several projects from our practice, Gray Organschi Architecture, the talk will review the environmental impact of material choices. We’ll examine low-impact ecologically-conscious construction techniques, building fabrication, and construction management through the lens of our practice and research. The talk will present some of the broad-reaching and close-range enquiry that has informed our philosophy: that the technical, physical and economic demands of a project give lasting clarity to the language of its architecture.
