SUMMARY:TNSAVE | Visual Assessment Training | Nashville
DESCRIPTION:Save the date! Location and time to be announced soon. \nFollowing large-scale disasters—such as tornadoes and earthquakes—there is a need to assess\nbuildings for safe occupancy and continued use. Critical facilities (emergency operations\ncenters\, hospitals\, shelters\, etc.) are key to community recovery and must be inspected for\nsafety quickly following a disaster. Likewise\, individuals and business owners will want to\nreturn to home\, school\, or work and need to know if buildings are safe to occupy. Local\njurisdictions may not have the resources to evaluate a large number of buildings in a short\nperiod of time. \nTNSAVE is comprised of volunteer engineers\, architects\, building inspectors and other trained\nprofessionals. These volunteers can be called upon after a disaster to assist local jurisdictions\nin determining which buildings are safe to use and which should be evacuated. To qualify for\nconducting building evaluations with TNSAVE post-disaster\, you are required to complete or\nto have completed the Visual Assessment Training session or an approved alternative within\nthe past three years. We cordially invite you to join in this training and become a member\nof TNSAVE! \nLearn more about TNSAVE at https://www.tnsave.org/training-calendar
