2012 Edition of the Commercial Codes
The 2012 editions of the commercial codes of the State Fire Marshal’s Office will become effective on August 4, 2016. Department of State released this Rulemaking Notice which contains the new rules.
Please be aware that Rule 0780-02-03-.12 GRANDFATHER PROVISION FOR REVIEW OF PLANS allows plans submitted within one hundred twenty (120) days after the effective date of newly adopted building, fire and life safety codes to be reviewed under the codes that were in effect at the time of the change. A written request must be submitted.
