Michael Fitts Architecture Scholarship Endowment

In honor of one of the true leaders in our profession, Mike Fitts, FAIA and his faithful service as our State for close to 40 years, an endowment has been established by the many individuals he has mentored, encouraged and guided through his years in public service. Mike Fitts, FAIA was not only a fine State Architect, but he was also a licensed engineer, an attorney, and a former Navy Seal. 

Starting one year after it is fully endowed and in perpetuity, a scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled at the University of TN pursuing a major in School of Architecture.  The student must demonstrate successful academic performance, be entering their fourth or fifth year and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills.    

We hope you will consider assisting us in growing this endowment by reaching out to others who would like to honor Mike in your local area.  We are hoping to create a $50,000 endowment by the end of the year and help even more young architecture students.
