If you are licensed in TN, you should have received a reminder letter a few weeks ago from the TN Board of Architectural & Engineer Examiners that since Jan. 1, 2023 carryover PDHs are no longer accepted. To avoid any gaps in licensure, you will want to ensure that you have completed 24 PDH (in HSW) within the previous renewal period. Per Rule 0120-05-.04 (1)(b) – see highlighted paragraph below:

Below is the content of the letter for your information:
Hello Architects, Engineers, and Landscape Architects:
As you prepare for your upcoming renewal, please keep in mind that since January 1, 2023, carryover PDHs are no longer accepted per Rule 0120-05-.04 (1)(b), (2)(b), and (3)(b). To avoid any gaps in licensure, you will want to ensure that you have completed 24 PDHs total within the previous renewal period.
Also, your next renewal will look a little different when you attempt to log into your account on the Comprehensive Online Regulatory & Enforcement (CORE) system, now known as “Reg Access”. That system recently went through an upgrade and you will find it to be much more user friendly. If you haven’t already done so, please create an account with this new faster, modern, and mobile-friendly CORE/Reg Access – the instructions to do so are below.
- Visit https://core.tn.gov and select “Sign In” at the top right corner of your screen.
- Then, select “Sign Up.”
- Enter your preferred email address – this will be your username.
- Choose a password based on the requirements listed.
- Add a different email address for account recovery. Then, select “Register.”
- Check email to activate your account. You might need to check your spam folder to see if the email was sent there. The email will be from NoReply@okta.com.
- Once you follow the “Activate Account” link in the email, then you may sign in.
Thank you for your attention regarding, and should you experience any difficulty in the renewal process, please reach out to us via email: ce.aeboard@tn.gov, or phone: (615) 741-2241.
Sincerely,
Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineer Examiners
