ABOUT NATIONAL ASSOCIATES COMMITTEE
Since 2000, the National Associates Committee has been dedicated to representing and advocating for Associates, both mainstream and non-traditional, in the national, regional, state, and local components of the AIA. By promoting excellence, providing information and leadership, fostering inclusiveness and encouraging individual, community and professional development, the NAC strives to integrate the growing Associates community of the profession into a strong voice within the American Institute of Architects.
ELIGIBILITY
The STAR must be an Associate AIA member in good standing. The representative will act as liaison to the national committee; sit on the state AIA EP committee; participate in quarterly calls with Tennessee AIA Leadership Network (TALN); participate in various NAC meetings throughout the term as requested by National.
This position is a two (2) year term and begins on January 1, 2024 with monthly calls as part of a work group with a particular focus. There are The selection process will take place via a Call for Applications. A statewide selection committee will evaluate the candidates and identify the preferred representative for the NAC seat.
AIA National will fund state representatives to attend committee annual meetings if and when travel resumes. AIA TN will support and provide funding for travel to AIA Grassroots, AIA Conference on Architecture and/or other meeting/conferences deemed relevant by AIA TN leadership.
